SPREAD LOVE will pay homage to the life of Nigeria’s warrior poet and the Godfather of Global Soul with FELABRATION!

FELABRATION takes its audience through an interactive journey of the life of FELA ANIKULAPO KUTI ~ Africa’s most prolific musical pioneer ~ with documentary films like “Music is the Weapon,” live art installations, body/face painting inspired by “Fela’s Queens,” and energetic African Dancers & Drummers.

Leading the evening’s tribute is DJ KEMIT along with deejays/performances to be accnounced, with a musical libation befitting a king.

Also featuring live video mix!!! If you’ve ever attended FELABRATION then you know how incredible it is to experience the live video mixes.

We’re blessed to have traditional African dancers and drummers!!

And of course, you can get fully involved with face and body paint!!

At our very first FELABRATION in 2008, we were honored to have SAHR NGAUJAH, star of the FELA MUSICAL, as our special guest.

And in 2011 we were absolutely blown away when the CAST of the FELA BROADWAY MUSICAL and members of the ANTIBALAS BAND performed at FELABRATION!!!

Not to mention SANDRA ISADORE came out and danced on stage with us!!

THIS YEAR’S FELABRATION IS SURE TO CONTINUE TO TRADITION OF SALUTING FELA KUTI’S SPIRIT IN SONG, DANCE & ART!!
